hello,

i am kelly alford, the founder and designer for iota, and this is my new blog.

yay.

i am new to the world of blogging, starting today.  it seems to me that blogging is just like keeping a journal, but less private, and am used to keeping a journal, so this should be easy and enjoyable.

i have big plans to write in my journal every nine days (or so), in keeping with our excessive and irrational reverence for the number nine.  and in case you have not yet read every last little word on our website, iota is named for the ninth letter of the Greek alphabet — a word of Phoenician origin meaning “a very small amount or thing, a jot, a whit.” Its simple, yet powerful character is infused in every aspect of our business, from our trademark innovative design, to our bold colours and patterns.
